Chaz McFreely

Charles "Chaz" McFreely is a daredevil stuntman who's never content until something has been done "to the extreme." He tends to be cocky and is slightly naïve at times. Chaz often butts heads with other Sims, mainly Travis and Luke, due to the fact that all three have some sort of a crush on Summer. Aside from being a stuntman, Chaz also serves as a potential resident, a potential finance advisor, a student at The Royal Academy, a minigame host, a rival racer, a client, a hotshot pilot, and the leader of Team McFreely.

Appearance

Chaz has red hair, styled similar to Travis' hair. He wears blue jeans, a black jacket with white and red stripes, black shoes, and blue sunglasses with yellow frames.

MySims Agents (Wii)

Chaz wears a white, blue, and red jumpsuit with stars on it. He puts on a helmet that matches the outfit when he performs his stunt and keeps it on afterwards.

MySims Agents (DS)

Chaz wears a yellow and black wetsuit with a star on the front and black sunglasses.

MySims SkyHeroes

Chaz's outfit is similar to the one he wears in MySims Agents (Wii), except he doesn't wear a cape or helmet. He wears a brown vest with two pockets on the front with white stars on them. He also wears boots that match his vest.

• There is a TV show on the BEtween channel called "Void Battles" (in Simlish) in the Kids Room Stuff DLC on The Sims 4, which features Chaz, Evelyn Gray, and Morcubus as the main characters.
  • There is even a poster for the same TV show with them on it as well.
• There is a furniture item called "Captain Chaz MacFreeling's Galleon" in The Sims 4.
  • There is even a pre-made Sim with the same name made by Maxis in the gallery.
• Chaz appears in The Sims 4 as a common MySims trophy that can be collected by players. His description reads: "Chaz McFreely is the world's greatest extreme sports athlete, according to Chaz McFreely. In his mind there are only two kinds of people: Chaz Fans and Chumps. Which are you?"
  • Chaz's trophy appears again in The Sims Mobile as an heirloom charm.
  • There are hidden toy versions of Chaz and Clara Belle that appear in Build mode by using the "bb.showhiddenobjects" cheat code. It is unknown why they were cut from the main game, but it is possibly because they were unfinished.

Trivia

• According to Official Nintendo Magazine, Chaz McFreely is based on their then-editor, Chandra Nair.
• Chaz's name means "free man". Since Chaz is always "extreme" and bold, this suggests his freedom in whatever he does. This also might be the etymology of his last name, McFreely.
• Chaz is one of two Sims to appear in the most games within the MySims series, with twelve releases. They appear in every version of each game except MySims (DS) and MySims (Mobile).
  • Interestingly, Chaz and Candy are also the only Sims to have their own fan club, as Tim claims to be as Chaz's number one fan and Zack is president of DJ Candy's fan club.
• Chaz has appeared on every cover of the MySims games except for MySims (DS) and both versions of MySims Agents.
  • Coincidentally, the Sim in the center of the MySims Agents cover (presumably the main character) has hair and a face similar to Chaz's look on the MySims cover.
• Chaz has red hair, but his hair is brown on MySims and MySims Racing covers.
  • On the MySims cover, Chaz has different eyes and wears black sunglasses, instead of his usual blue sunglasses.
• If the player chooses Summer to dance with Travis in MySims Kingdom, Liberty reveals Chaz's real name is Charles when she furiously demands he dance with her.
• It appears that Chaz has a crush on Summer. If the player chooses Liberty to dance with Travis, Chaz tells Summer he has always liked her cheers.
  • In MySims Agents, Chaz appears to be jealous of Summer's admiration for Luke.
• Chaz's skin is lighter than usual in the DS version of MySims Racing and MySims Agents (Wii).
• It's interesting to note that Chaz owns shark-themed items, like his plane and his car, due to his inability to swim.
• Chaz gives the player surfboard themed items after winning his rival race in MySims Racing, which is ironic because he claims surfboarding is lame and doesn't know how to swim in MySims Agents.
  • Conversely, Chaz is the local surfer in MySims Agents (DS).
• As seen in a beta MySims Agents screenshot, Chaz was originally a potential SPA recruit.
• In concept art for MySims SkyHeroes, Chaz is standing next to his plane, known as the "shark", which also resembles the WW2 Curtiss P40 fighter.
• In MySims SkyHeroes, Chaz says his catchphrase is "Go Rad or Go Home". This could be a reference to the phrase "Go Big or Go Home" or the song "Hard by Rihanna feat. Jeezy, when Rihanna sings "Go hard or go home".
• One of Chaz's missions in MySims SkyHeroes is called Id, Ego, Super-Ego. This references his huge ego and the id, ego and super-ego of the psychic apparatus.
