The Royal Academy is a very studious, academic island with a school on it. It contains several notable areas, such as the school building where the students go for their daily learning, the students' dorm, the dance floor where Travis will choose to dance with either Liberty or Summer, a pen for Filbert, the school's mascot, and Chaz's Gyro Dance Sphere.

Plot[]
The Royal Wandolier, Buddy, and Lyndsay arrive on the island to find Rosalyn P. Marshall in distress. Buddy tells her that the player is the Wandolier, and she feels relieved to maybe get some help. Rosalyn introduces herself as the headmistress of the Royal Academy and says the school bell never rang. She starts to freak out again over everything coming up the Wandolier calms her down.
The first task is to round up the four students: Chaz, Liberty, Summer, and Travis. After doing so, everyone enters the school and a shocked Rosalyn wonders who sabotaged the classroom. Travis suspects Chaz is responsible, who calls Travis out before admitting it was him. He apologizes and admits he wanted to use the school to shoot “Chaz: The Movie,” but felt he had to move the desks and chairs to make room. He even put all the school’s decorations in a pile on the pier, which fell into the ocean. Chaz and Travis start arguing and Rosalyn get stressed again before remembering the Royal Wandolier is there. She then gives a task to restore the school back to what it was.
Afterwards, Summer and Liberty invite the Wandolier and Lyndsay to hang out with them to talk about boys. Meanwhile, Travis and Chaz invite Buddy o check out Chaz’s extreme stunt. Travis invites the Wandolier to come along after talking with the girls. When meeting with the girls, Liberty admits she is hoping a certain boy (Travis) will ask her to the dance, but Summer encourages Liberty to ask him herself. When Lyndsay asks Summer if she will be asking a boy to the dance, she says she will be asking Travis when the right time comes. Liberty is saddened by the news. Summer then asks the Wandolier to socialize with Travis and find out who he likes. Upon socializing with Travis, he will reveal he loves his phone, which angers Summer.
Meanwhile with the boys, Chaz will have te Wandolier power up the Extreme-O-Tron and makes Travis try it out. It starts off smoothly until Travis falls out and Chaz laughs at him. Chaz then inadvertently reminds Travis of his study date with Liberty. Travis asks the Royal Wandolier to help make him a friendship bracelet for Liberty to show how sorry he is. After gathering the right materials, Liberty is preparing herself to ask Travis to the dance. Travis shows up, and as Liberty was about to tell him, Travis tells her he made a friendship bracelet and apologizes for being late. He asks Liberty what she was going to say, but she gets too shy and leaves. Summer overhears Liberty’s feelings for Travis and wonders who he really likes.
The Wandolier and Travis meet Summer, who wonders where the school’s mascot, Filbert, went. She asks Travis to find him, and he happily accepts. The next task, given by Travis, is to decorate Filbert’s pen while he goes looking for him. After decorating the pen, Travis announces he found Filbert. Summer then asks the Wandolier to chase Filbert back to his cute new pen. Summer thanks Travis for helping, who tells her he would have done it for anybody, angering Summer.
Meanwhile, at the dorms, Chaz mentions he got permission from Rosalyn to decorate the dorms, but he instead wants it to br torn down to build a skate park. Both the Wandolier and Travis are not on board with Chaz’s plan. Travis’ new plan is to decorate the dorms for Summer and Liberty to make them happy. He asks the Wandolier to socialize with both girls to find out what they like. Summer likes anything Cute and Liberty likes anything from Nature. Travis then gives the Dorm Décor Scroll, then he will have the Royal Wandolier decorate the interior of the dorm, as well as the exterior. Travis shows his surprise to the girls, and they love it. An outraged Chaz shows up and intimidates Travis claiming he will be crowned King of the dance and Travis will cry.
Later, Rosalyn asks the Wandolier to help get ready for the big dance and to redecorate the dance area by painting it as the Academy’s colors royal blue. After completing that task, Travis gets nervous and asks the Wandolier to talk to Liberty or Summer about going to the dance with him.
If the Royal Wandolier picks Summer, Travis approaches her and nervously asks her to the dance. Summer happily accepts and starts dancing with Travis. Liberty is bummed, but understands how Travis feels and is happy to see him looking at something other than his phone. Rosalyn announces Chaz as King of the dance, and Chaz tries his hardest to rub it in Travis’ face, but Travis ignores him, while Liberty is happy for Chaz. Rosalyn announces Liberty as Queen of the Evening. Liberty and Chaz are surprised, while Travis and Summer are happy for her. Liberty demands Chaz ask her to dance and be nice to her. He nervously accepts, and they start dancing.
If the Royal Wandolier picks Liberty, Travis approaches her and nervously asks her to the dance. Summer is bummed, but is relieved to know how Travis really feels. She even notices how happy Liberty is. Rosalyn announces Chaz as King of the dance, and Chaz tries his hardest to rub it in Travis’ face. Travis doesn’t care and says he is happy with Liberty and kisses her on the cheek. Rosalyn then announces Summer as Queen of the Evening, who cheers in excitement while the rest clap for her. Summer tells Chaz how special the night is for her, and asks if he will be mean. Chaz says he would never be mean to her as he only likes to be mean to Travis, and that he admires her spirit and her cheers. Summer is happy and Chaz says a King should show respect to his Queen. The two start dancing.
Buddy asks Rosalyn to dance with him, and she gladly accepts. Lyndsay expresses a potential crush on Buddy, before taking it back and requests they start dancing. The story ends with everyone dancing on the dance floor.

Trivia[]
- If the Wandolier stays in the dorm all day, the students will stay inside and not go to school that day.
- If Liberty is the prom queen, then Chaz will just dance with her. However, if Summer is the prom queen, Chaz will say he has always liked her cheers. This may be because Chaz has a crush on Summer.
- The Royal Academy Dance Music was later reused in The Sims 3: Generations when the player goes to a prom and looks at the front of the school.
- In The Sims 4: High School Years, the Dance Music is used as one of the songs in the Tunnel of Love ride.
- The Dance Music was also used in The Sims 2: Nightlife, if the player goes to a certain nightclub and DJ.
