Sir Charles, also known as Ace, is a billionare who made his fortune by selling tires and making bets. Soon, he used this fortune to build Speedville. He was a amazing racer, challenged anyone to a race and always won, and made the town prosper, however, he disappeared for 10 years in a trip on a hot air balloon, due to being shot down by Morcubus in his antique war plane. He washes up on The Uncharted Isle, with no memory. He is taken care of by Gonk and Bobaboo for 10 years. One day, he regains his memory after an incident with a coconut tree, and immediately sets sail back to Speedville. At first when coming back and seeing the player, he secretly hides under a black cloak, being referred to by the game as the "Mysterious Stranger" at Star Level 1, talking to Gabby about how much potential you have. He then reveals his identity and tells the story mentioned above about the Uncharted Isle and his memory. He also reveals that his identity was hidden due to having two bad knees after the incident, and could no longer race as well as he did before. He then asks you to race against Morcubus and save Speedville. Sir Charles then wants you to race him at the Racing School obstacle course with no audience, no cup and no reward (although he gives you some blueprints afterward) just a challenge for the fun of racing.
