Welcome to the Featured Essence Archive! Essences are many of the different objects found around the world of MySims. They can grow on trees, and you can dig them out of the ground. They're found all around the world and can be used to build things by Sims like you. Each week, a new Essence can be featured on the main page of MySims Wiki as the "Featured Essence"! Like the Featured Sims and the Featured Location, this is changed every Saturday or Sunday.

Puppy

Happy
Happy Essences are one of the well-known, most common, and the easiest to obtain Essences in the MySims series. The most obvious way to obtain them is to just be nice to other Sims! RavenEssence
Ravens are exclusive essences found in MySims (PC). They are found in the Gardens growing on trees. They look very ominous and creepy. When placed, or on trees, they look as if they are perched and staring. To read more about these, click here. June 20, 2009 - June 27, 2009
Tiger

Scary
Scary essences are spooky essences found by scaring Sims or spooky Sims. Being nice to a spooky Sim may get you some of these essences. Compass
Compass essences are Studious essences found in the Gardens, exclusive to only MySims PC. You can find them by prospecting around, but everyone has different essences in their Garden! Therefore, you may not have Compasses in your Garden and may have to ask a friend to play online with you, and see if they have any Compasses! Trade essences with friends to collect them all! Dark Wood
Dark Wood essences are Studious essences obtained by chopping trees. Trees with dark wood are often short, stubby, and have darker bark than the wood of Light Wood trees. Dark Wood trees also usually only contain Studious or Cute essences. It has a classy feel to it, and Elmira prefers Dark Wood over Light Wood. To read more about Dark Wood, click here! Bat
Bats are Spooky essences exclusive to MySims (PC). They are found in a certain area by prospecting in the ground. Although, you may not have these Essences in your Garden, you may visit a friend's garden to see if they have them. They have unique paints of bats and screeching signals. Soccer Ball
Soccer Balls are fun essences found by prospecting. They are found in the Fun Prospecting Cave located in the Forest. They may be found in bunches and can be used to make anything unique. Jade
Jades are studious essences found by prospecting. They are found in a prospecting area in the desert along with the other gems. They can be painted on objects to make them transparent and illuminating. They are also fun to decorate with. Like the other gems, it is not possible to paint them on walls or floors. Pinwheel
Pinwheels are fun essences found on trees in the Gardens. They are found growing in everyones Garden. They are, as the name says, pinwheels with very unique and somewhat mosaic paints. Metal
Metal is a hard, silvery essence that can be found in the MySims world, including in towns and King Roland's kingdom. In towns, they can usually be found by melting down trees with metal bark (these trees usually grow Geeky essences). In King Roland's kingdom, you can find metal by mining on the hard, stone walls you may find on various islands. When used as paint in an object you are creating in the Workshop, the paint will have a silvery and shiny appearance. Many Sims like to use Metal on their kitchen furniture. Bacon
Bacon is a cured meat prepared from a pig. Many people love to eat this for breakfast. In MySims, Bacon is a delicacy that can be found underground, and is a favorite for many Sims (especially Patrick Rhino). They can be found in the Forest by prospecting. Gold
Gold is a valued type of substance, with the periodic table symbol Au. It's often considered a really rare and beautiful substance. In MySims, Gold is a Cute essence found very commonly through fishing near the Desert's beach. Oh well, but it still looks pretty cool, right? Read more on Gold here. Tim Doll
A Tim Doll is a Cute essence that can be found by digging in the Cute Prospecting Cave. Although not as commonly seen as his female counterpart, the Tina Doll, the Tim Doll is an extremely popular doll among all of the Cute Sims. Read more on the Tim Doll here. October 3, 2009 - October 10, 2009
Spring
A Spring is a coil-like object which appears in both MySims and MySims Kingdom as an essence. The Spring can be found on tees in MySims, whereas in MySims Kingdom, you can obtain them by jumping on couches and various other ways. Read more on the Spring here. October 10, 2009 - October 17, 2009
Cube Puzzle The Cube Puzzle is a geeky essence exclusive to MySims PC. It is found on trees, and produces various colorful paints. It resembles a Rubiks Cube, or other related items. Go here to learn more. October 17, 2009 - October 24, 2009

Moai Moai are Studious essences in MySims, and can be found by prospecting the sands of the desert. In real life, Moai are human figures carved from rock on the Polynesian island of Rapa Nui (Easter Island) between the years 1250 and 1500. Nearly half are still at Rano Raraku, the main moai quarry, but hundreds were transported from there and set on stone platforms called ahu around the island's perimeter. Almost all moai have overly large heads three-fifths the size of their bodies. The moai are chiefly the 'living faces' (aringa ora) of deified ancestors (aringa ora ata tepuna). The statues still gazed inland across their clan lands when Europeans first visited the island, but most would be cast down during later conflicts between clans. Check out the article on Moai here! Crab Crabs are a Tasty fish essence that can be obtained by fishing at the pond at the Forest. They are decapod crustaceans of the infraorder Brachyura, which typically have a very short projecting "tail" (Greek: βραχύ/brachy = short, ουρά/οura = tail), or where the reduced abdomen is entirely hidden under the thorax. Eyeball Eyeballs are spooky essences that may be found in the Spooky Cave. They are creepy essences that have a tendancy to just...stare at you. Despite being creepy, many spookies cherish them. Banana Bananas are tasty essences that are found in your town's Gardens. They are seen growing on trees and are delicious and given to everyone. They are very tasty and make great decorations too. Red Apple Red Apples are tasty essences that are found in your Town Square. They are seen growing on trees alongside the Green Apple essence. Tina Doll Tina Dolls are cute essences that can be found in the Cute Prospecting Cave which is accessible at Star Level 3. They can also be obtained by joining a tea party which is begun by a Sim with the cute interest. Tina Dolls can be seen, not as essences, but as objects which cute sims tend to play with. Tire Tires are geeky essences that can be found by fishing in the pond in front of your house in the Town Square. They are obtainable immediately in the game and will definitely help gain you points with geeky Sims! They are also located in Cowboy Junction. Voodoo Doll Voodoo Dolls are spooky essences that can be found by prospecting in the Desert's cemetery, near the Ghost Cave. You must reach Star Level 3 to reach them and they are necessary in Madame Zoe's tasks. They are also found by pulling weeds in Spookane and holding a séance on any island. Rocket Rockets are geeky essences that can be found by prospecting near the Geeky Junkyard Cave in the Desert. They can also be obtained by helping a geeky Sim finish a Rocket Launch, and when the Rocket returns, you may take it. Professor Nova requires Rockets in her tasks. Green Apple Green Apples are Tasty essences in MySims. They can be found in the Town Square growing on trees throughout the town. Shake the tree or use fertilizer to pick up the apples. You can also obtain it when you drink juice using the fridge. February 16, 2014 - May 31, 2014
