Sir Vincent Skullfinder is a world famous explorer and archaeologist. He has discovered numerous fossils and bones, and has a large collection of artifacts of which he puts on display at his museum. He has been to several places in his search, including The Uncharted Isle, the Jungle Temple, castles, tombs, and even off the planet! In addition to curating his museum, he has also served as a public safety advisor[1][2], minigame host, a thief, and a Fortune Hunters pilot throughout the MySims series.
Game roles[]
Appearance[]
Sir Vincent has dark skin and black hair with a widow's peak that's slicked back and ends in three points. Vincent has defined cheekbones and a long, cat-like mouth with a mustache and goatee. His eyebrows are thick and arched, and his eyes are hooded with small yellow irises and cat-like pupils. His eyes are also surrounded by cyan circles, which may be interpreted as eye shadow or a physical symptom of insomnia.
MySims, SimCity Creator (Wii), MySims Kingdom, MySims Party, MySims Racing, and MySims Agents[]
Sir Vincent wears a black suit and black dress shoes. The suit jacket is fastened by two brown bone-shaped buttons. It also has a red bow tie with a creepy white skull ornament in the center. His shoes have silver buckles on both sides. On both sides of his head, Vincent's hair has three colored streaks. In most games, the streaks are small and white, but in MySims Kingdom and MySims Agents (Wii), they are large, gray, and blend into the rest of his hair better.
Alternate outfit[]
If a player has Sir Vincent on their team while playing Treasure Tram, the host Vincent will wear an alternate outfit to differentiate the two Vincents from each other. His alternate outfit consists of a navy tuxedo, a white tuxedo shirt, a red bow tie, and black shoes.
MySims SkyHeroes[]
On both sides of his head, Sir Vincent's hair has three large gray streaks that blend into the rest of his hair. Vincent wears a short-sleeve shirt and cargo pants that are the same shade of light brown. The left side of his shirt is cuffed up whereas the right side is ripped to show a tattoo on his shoulder of a black dinosaur skull profile. He also wears a red ascot tie, a brown vest and belt, brown leg straps with pockets, green and black thumbless gloves, black combat boots, a black knee pad on his right left, a silver watch on his right wrist, and a black eye patch with the Fortune Hunters logo over his left eye. It is unknown if the eye patch is decorative or functional.
In other games[]
- A deceased elderly Sim named Vincent Skullfinder appears in the Pleasant Rest Graveyard in The Sims 3. Although this Sim shares his name, skin color, hair color, and love of museums with MySims Vincent, there are multiple differences:
- The Sims 3 Vincent does not have the "Sir" title. MySims Vincent does.
- The Sims 3 Vincent's hair is mostly light gray. MySims Vincent hair is mostly black.
- The Sims 3 Vincent has a beard. MySims Vincent has a mustache and goatee.
- The Sims 3 Vincent wears glasses. MySims Vincent does not.
- The Sims 3 Vincent has green eyes and no eye circles. MySims Vincent has gold eyes with cyan eye circles.
- The Sims 3 Vincent has rounded facial features and age spots. MySims Vincent has sharp facial features and no age spots.
- The Sims 3 Vincent loves indie music, key lime pie, and the color pink. MySims Vincent never mentions these things, and likely dislikes the color pink because he dislikes Cute.
- A defining feature of The Sims 3 is Create A Style, which allows players to change clothing to be any pattern or color, meaning it would have been easy to replicate MySims Vincent's outfit. However, The Sims 3 Vincent wears an outfit that MySims Vincent never wears: a plaid suit jacket, a yellow button down shirt, white pants, and brown dress shoes.
- Because of these differences, it is possible that The Sims 3 Vincent is a relative or alternate universe version of MySims Vincent. However, it is also possible that The Sims 3 Vincent is the older version of MySims Vincent, and his appearance and tastes have changed with age.
- There is also a deceased Sim in The Sims 3 Store's Barnacle Bay named Victoria Skullfinder. It is possible she is related to Sir Vincent.
- When a Sim reaches Level 9 in the Archaeology skill in The Sims 4: Jungle Adventure, the player will receive a notification that says Sir Vincent is sending them packages to ask for their help identifying artifacts.
Trivia[]
- Sir Vincent is most likely inspired by and named after real-life horror actor Vincent Price.
- Vincent Price has a daughter named Victoria Price, which supports the theory that Victoria Skullfinder from The Sims 3 is related to Sir Vincent.
- Sir Vincent's nickname "Thief V" may be a reference to a reference to V from V for Vendetta, but it is probably because his first name starts with a "V".
- Sir Vincent's MySims concept art depicts he was originally supposed to have lighter skin.
- Sir Vincent is probably over 50 years old, because his MySims profile states "(he) was the driving force behind every major archaeological find of the last 50 years."
- According to one of Sir Vincent's Star Level 1 dialogues, he will admit he has a crush on Violet Nightshade, but he quickly takes it back and claims that it to be fiction once he realizes he said it out loud.
- IF the player sends Sir Vincent on Walker's fifth dispatch mission, One More Time, he will reveal his biggest fear is that there is nothing left to discover in the world.
- Sir Vincent makes a cameo at the MorcuCorp meeting in MySims Racing.
- In a trailer for MySims Agents, Sir Vincent is seen throwing TNT, but he does not throw any TNT in the game.
- Sir Vincent's MySims SkyHeroes appearance may be based upon Big Boss from the Metal Gear franchise. He wears a similar uniform and has a signature eye patch.
- Sir Vincent's French name, Oscar Tefact, is a pun on the word "artifact".
- Vincent's primary interest was originally Studious during the development of MySims.[citation needed]
